Quest for Sound
The Quest for Sound is a speech therapy game designed to captivate children through a knightly adventure in an enchanted forest. Players roll the dice to move their characters along a game board, complete speech tasks, and take on special quests to collect coins. The game provides multiple ways to win, ensuring every player stays engaged and motivated.
How It Works
- Roll, Move, and Speak: Each roll of the dice determines how far the player moves and the speech task they must complete. Tasks can include practicing target sounds, using words in sentences, or telling short stories—perfect for addressing a variety of speech goals.
- Quest Spaces: Players landing on “Quest” spaces get to draw special quest cards. These unique challenges, such as “Use 3 /r/ words in a story” or “Answer a ‘Wh-‘ question about a knight,” offer opportunities to earn coins—an alternative path to victory!
- Winning the Game: Players can win by either reaching the village first or collecting the most coins. This flexibility ensures everyone feels successful while having fun.

- Use Props: Add small knight or dragon figurines as player tokens to make the experience even more immersive.
- Adapt for Language Goals: Focus on expanding vocabulary, answering “Wh-” questions, or building storytelling skills in addition to articulation.
